Austria native Carolin Lerch founded Pelican Avenue in 2004. A graduate of the Antwerp School of Fashion and former assistant to the designer Bernard Willhelm, the label aims to question the codes of conventional fashion to provide a different focus, avoiding stagnation and complacency.
Pelican Avenue exhibits regularly at Paris Fashion Week. Its work has also been exhibited at the 07 Arnhem Fashion Biennial, the 2007 Vienna Fashion Fair, Arteleku in San Sebastián, the W gallery in Antwerp, and PARK in Vienna.
